Cove-shaped profiles are most commonly used in wall-to-floor or wall-to-wall applications to create an easy-to-clean surface. Traditionally, the use of a sealant or caulk has been employed to treat such transitions, due to the lack of availability of ceramic trim pieces, meaning these joints must be maintained throughout the life of the installation. To achieve a clean and maintenance-free corner installation, Schluter®-DILEX cove-shaped profiles are a perfect choice, as they eliminate the need for caulk.
Movement Joint Profiles
An integral part of any tile assembly, movement joints are applied to doorsills and at transitions to walls, allowing movement of the assembly. This prevents any stress that can cause damage to the tile floor. Shower System
Contrary to popular belief, tiles and grout joints are not inherently waterproof and must be installed in conjunction with a waterproofing system that effectively manages moisture and prevents mold growth.

The KERDI family is completed by accessories including seamless corners, waterproofing strips, and pipe and mixing valve seals, all designed to work together to complete the waterproofing process, protecting your shower or bathtub surround against mold and mildew damage.
Drains For Showers
Our classic Schluter®-KERDI-DRAIN can accommodate a wide variety of tile thicknesses and features an integrated bonding flange. Once the KERDI waterproofing membrane is adhered to the flange, it forms a waterproof connection at the top of the tile assembly. The KERDI-DRAIN can be customized with a wide range of grate options.
The Schluter®-KERDI-LINE is a low-profile linear drain that adds a lavish feel to your tiled shower and is the perfect drain for curbless showers. KERDI-LINE can be installed adjacent to walls or at the shower entrance and can be used in showers, wet rooms, steam rooms, or other places that require drainage. KERDI-LINE comes with a variety of grate designs, including a frameless tileable covering that practically disappears into the tile installation.
Prefabricated Substrates For Showers
Schluter®-Systems prefabricated substrates are the perfect choice for including mortar-free shower components in a tiled shower. Floor Warming
Combine the beauty and durability of tile with the comfort of an electric floor warming system to bring a touch of luxury into any room of the home. DITRA-HEAT is an electric floor warming system that directly incorporates uncoupling technology to ensure that floors aren’t susceptible to cracked tiles and grout. Cables can be placed wherever heat is desired for customized heating zones, and no leveling compounds are required, which makes for a quick and easy installation. Membranes
Schluter®-Systems offers solutions to common tile installation challenges, including effective waterproofing and uncoupling membranes. Ceramic and natural stone are esthetically pleasing, practical, and durable, but they are not completely waterproof or resistant to cracking or breakage. With this in mind, Schluter®-DITRA provides an innovative uncoupling technology that prevents the cracking of tile and grout while providing an effective waterproof seal. In addition, Schluter®-KERDI waterproofing and vapor barrier sheets can be installed underneath tile in showers, tub surrounds, and other wet areas.
In short, Schluter membranes help maintain the integrity of the tile and protect the investment in the installation of tile.
Waterproofing Membranes (KERDI)
Schluter®-KERDI and KERDI-DS are bonded waterproofing and vapor-retardant membranes that are pliable and sheet-applied and designed for the direct application of tile. Applied behind the tile in your shower, bathtub surround, or other wet area, KERDI and KERDI-DS waterproofing membranes eliminate water damage that can lead to mold and mildew.
Uncoupling Membranes (DITRA)
One of the oldest materials used in flooring, tile can last for a very long time when installed with an uncoupling layer within the tile assembly. Schluter®-DITRA and DITRA-XL provide crack protection for your tile floor through the free space in the membranes, which allows for in-plane movement between the substrate and the tile that won’t transfer the stress to the tile assembly above. Your tile floor will stay beautiful and crack-free for years to come.
Removable Fleece
Schluter®-REFLEECE is a removable fleece with a self-adhesive backside, designed specifically for the application of temporary tile floor coverings.
Sound Control Membranes
A perfect solution for multi-story construction, the Schluter®-DITRA-HEAT-DUO uncoupling and waterproofing membrane features an integrated bonding fleece that reduces impact sound transmission through floor-ceiling assemblies. The membrane can also be customized with DITRA-HEAT-E-HK floor heating cables to create a warm, luxurious tile floor.
Drains
Shower Drains
The classically-inspired Schluter®-KERDI-DRAIN is offered with a variety of grate finishes and accommodates a wide range of tile thicknesses. KERDI-DRAIN features an integrated bonding flange to which the KERDI waterproofing membrane is adhered and forms a waterproof connection at the top of the tile assembly. Prefer something a little more luxurious? The KERDI-LINE low-profile linear drain takes your tiled shower to the next level—and is the ideal drain for curbless bathrooms. KERDI-LINE is available with several grate designs, including a frameless tileable covering support, which virtually disappears in the field tile. KERDI-LINE can be installed adjacent to walls or at intermediate locations in showers, steam rooms, wet rooms, and other applications that require drainage. Another great option is the KERDI-LINE-VARIO, a customizable linear drain system for tiled showers. Its adjustable frame and grate design enable on-site cutting and customization, making it ideal for various projects. It is compatible with the KERDI-SHOWER-LT/-LTS shower trays and integrates seamlessly into the Schluter®-Shower System.
Adaptor Drains
Interested in making your clamping ring drain compatible with the fully bonded Schluter®-Shower System? KERDI-DRAIN-A adaptor kits are specially crafted for transforming clamping ring drains into integrated bonding flange drains, offering a seamless solution when the removal of the existing clamping ring drain isn’t feasible.
Floor Drains
Floors that are at risk of water exposure are key areas that often require a secondary drain. The KERDI-DRAIN-F is a specialized floor drain compatible with Schluter uncoupling membranes, such as DITRA, DITRA-XL, DITRA-HEAT, and DITRA-HEAT-DUO. This versatile drain system includes a drain body with an adjustable grate assembly, accommodating various tile thicknesses.
